Information due to the COVID-19

Due to the relaxation of restrictions on holding events by the government, The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum is open to group visits with a maximum of 5 people per group.

We are taking measures to prevent infection and minimize the spread of COVID-19(See here for more details).


No Entry

Please do not visit the museum if:

・you have a fever.

・you have a sore throat or coughs.

・you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the COVID-19.

・you have traveled to or been in contact with someone who has traveled/ lived in counties or regions where the entry restriction is imposed or a mandatory quarantine is required by the Japanese government in the past two weeks.


At the Museum

Upon entering the museum, please:

・follow any requests or instructions from our staff.

・respect our restriction on the number of visitors (max. 5 people per group).

・use hand sanitizer provided to sanitize your hands thoroughly.

・check your body temperature.

・fill in the visitor’s information card.

・keep a distance of 1m or more.

・wear a mask while in the Museum.

・pay by credit card or e-money to minimize the use of cash.


About the Services

The followings are temporarily suspended :

・guided tours of the Museum

・audio guide

・touch panel in the gallery area


Measures Taken to Prevent COVID-19

What we’re doing for you:

・we’ve provided hand sanitizer at the Museum entry.

・we’re keeping doors open and using air ventilation to improve air quality.

・we’re cleaning frequently with disinfectants and disinfect the high-touch surfaces, such as door handles and handrails.

・we’ve removed objects and items that visitors would touch.

・all Museum staff wear masks, wash our hands frequently, and take care of our health.

・we will limit visitors in the event of large numbers of visitors.

・we will continue to be guided by relevant authorities’ guideline and will provide updates to this information concerning COVID-19.

・entry control may be in operaion,depending on the situation.


Visitor’s Information Card

Please fill in the information card upon entering the Museum, if not necessary, discard in a month.

To minimize waiting time, you may download and complete the information card and bring it to the Museum.
