Omiya Bonsai Art Museum: Special Night Light-Up

BONSAI CANVAS

We will be holding a special, limited time light-up event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Omiya Bonsai Village. The theme is BONSAI CANVAS.

We have lots of different plans for coloring the museum like a canvas!

We’ve prepared beautiful photo opportunities, bonsai displays made by local students, and a cafe corner that overlooks the garden. We want everyone from bonsai fans to those who are unfamiliar with bonsai to come!

Please visit us with friends, significant others, or even alone to experience a new art in the garden at night!

Contents

1. Mystical, Foggy Bonsai Garden

Experience the world of BONSAI CANVAS in the fog-filled, lit-up garden! Available at 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Times may be changed due to weather.

2. Silhouette Art

A special art piece will be created using the lit up “Japanese Juniper (A-124) estimated 100 years.”

3. Student Collab Art

–  Bonsai x Watercolor by Omiya Koryo High School arts and calligraphy department

–  Outdoor advertisement (West Gate Entrance) installation and video creation by Saitama Computer and Medical Administration Technical School (to be shared on the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum official social media accounts)

4. Cafe Corner

The Bonsai Restaurant Omiya will open a food corner on the second floor terrace.

5. Photo Contest

  –   How to participate

     –  Upload a photo you took during the event at the museum to Instagram. Include the hashtag “#盆美deライトアップ2025”

     –  Answer the questionnaire at the museum and you will be entered to win

  –  Prizes

     –  “Tamapon” worth 2000-4000 yen will be gifted to the winners

6. “Garden Visit Points” (Offered at Each Bonsai Garden)

You will be able to collect points on Saitama City’s “Minna no Apuri” at each bonsai garden in Bonsai Village from November 8-24 (during opening hours only). You can get 1 point from each garden in a day.

• Please note that we may have to limit the amount of guests who can enter for safety reasons.
• We expect it will be crowded, so please give yourself enough time before coming.
• We have limited space in our parking lot, so please use public transportation if possible. View access here.
