The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum, Saitama has been assisting in running bonsai classes at Urawa-kita High School and Koshigaya-nishi High School, which have incorporated bonsai into their art education programs.
In these classes, our museum curators gave lectures on bonsai, and a bonsai instructor from the Japan Bonsai Association came from the Omiya Bonsai Village to guide the students in the art of bonsai creation. Each student tailored flowering quince bonsai planted inside bonsai pots they each created.
During this exhibit, you can see on display the bonsai that the students carefully grew and nurtured.
