The thick, rising trunk of this bonsai gives it an aura of a grand tree. The foliage of this zelkova tree has been tailored to radiate out in a style of bonsai called “hōki zukuri”, or “broom style”. It draws a rounded silhouette with the fresh foliage that has begun to grow on its delicate branches.
