This celadon pot stands out for its refreshing turquoise glaze. Its exaggerated curves and the precise wavy design of its rim give the pot an elegant appearance. Using a carving technique called kokka, a relief of a lotus petal has been created towards the bottom half of the piece, while the body of the pot has been given a floral scroll relief design. The Nippon Bonsai Association has recognized this pot as a Kichō Bonki, meaning a Bonsai Pot of Cultural Importance.
