This unglazed dark clay bonsai pot was once owned by Meiji period politician and former Japanese Prime Minister Ōkuma Shigenobu. The oval shape of its body is known in Japanese as fukuro-shiki, literally meaning bag-form. The body of the pot bears a carefully drawn mountain scene. It forms a pair with item B-035.
