It is thought that this could be a Tokoname piece from Aichi Prefecture. Two different drawings of flowers and birds are depicted alternatively in red and green on each face. The corners have been painted with a red bead yōraku design, giving it a lavish look. There is a type of simplicity to the painting. The lion-like legs known as jusoku are often seen in copperware.
