 What makes this stone unique are the smooth undulations on the surface and the white crystals that create the image of a mountain with fallen snow running down from its peak to its foot. Due to this appearance, it was given the name Bandai-san (Mt. Bandai), after a famous mountain located near Inawashiro in Fukushima Prefecture. This mountain is also called Aizu Fuji.
