This stone boasts a rugged surface, telling of the many years it spent being beaten by the wind and rain. This is an example of a mizutamari, or water hole stone. Such stones are called so because of the dugout hollows found at their centers. This stone has been titled, Ryuen, or Dragon hole, as the viewer can imagine a landscape in which a dragon may be found laying in wait.
