This stone once belonged to Ichiu Katayama. An influence to a great many bonsai and suiseki viewing stone enthusiasts, Katayama founded the Katayama School of Keido in the 1980s, which sought to deepen the practice of displaying bonsai and suiseki stones. The stone’s title, Shun-kin, was also given by Katayama as it produces the scene of a field at the foot of the mountains with some snow yet to thaw.
