Yase-maguro-ishi are found by the Takano River in Kyoto Prefecture. They are known for their subdued black tones. It is a type of suiseki known as a kuzuya-ishi, meaning a thatched hut stone. As the name suggests, they are supposed to resemble houses with roof eaves.
