This piece depicts a zashiki room a with view of the mouth of the Sumida River. This room expresses the interest in Chinese culture amongst literati at the time with the Ming and Qing-era Chinese music instrument, the yueqin (or moon guitar), and a music score placed to the side of it. By the side there is also a white pot with a Chinese taihu stone and a Ganoderma lucidum potted inside.
