This piece depicts an apricot tree and a pheasant’s Eye group planting in a round blue and white pot with a wave pattern. It is placed on a slatter wood stand and seems to have been planted as a New Year’s decoration. This piece is a type of ukiyo-e print called surimono, which were made to be given as gifts.
