This is a painting overlooking the Training Center when it was used by the Takasago Sumo Stable competitors. The stable master Uragoro Takasago greatly contributed to the modernization of sumo. In the detached room on the top right where the master is sitting, there is a white plum bonsai tree on display together with a hanging scroll of Sugawara no Michizane (a 9th-century scholar, poet and politician). Due to the fact that there is a person holding a writing brush, this is considered to be a scene portraying a poetry competition. There is also a Bunjingi-style pine bonsai tree (with a narrow trunk and sparse branches) in the garden.
